Our Constitution says we must operate with a Board formed from the CMS membership, to guide what we do. This Board has 10 members:

Board committees
Community and Public Relations
- identify opportunities to promote the work of CMS and report them to the Board
- evaluate and make recommendations to Board to ensure CMS is marketed appropriately in our community
- provide an annual report to CMS Board
Finance and Audit
Monitor and audit compliance in relation to:
- Board Director of Nursing and Midwifery/Executive Officer Limitations Policy
- Board Director of Nursing and Midwifery/Executive Officer Financial Planning, Management and Compliance Policy
- Board Director of Nursing and Midwifery/Executive Officer Financial Planning and Management Compliance Monitoring Strategy
- monitor and audit compliance in relation to the Risk Management Plan
- provide an annual report to the Board.
Governance
- undertake an annual review of the Board Governance Polices and model and make recommendation for their adoption by the Board
- lead in the Board evaluation process
- to ensure risk management evaluate and implement strategies to ensure CMS reflects best contemporary corporate governance principles and practices
- provide an annual report to the CMS Board
Program Development
- guide the development of parenting resources and programs specific to men as parents and grandparents
- guide the development and enhancement of programs in relation to play and attachment for young children
- guide the development of strategies to ensure we are meeting the needs of our culturally diverse community
- annually review the Scholarships Scheme process and make recommendation to Board for any improvements
- assess applications for scholarships and make recommendations to Board for disbursements of funds
- provide an annual report to the CMS Board
