Today, CMS acknowledges Sorry Day is the day on which we remember and commemorate the mistreatment of Aboriginal peoples of Australia. We especially acknowledge the mistreatment of children and their families. CMS joins the Winnunga AHCS call for the Chief Minister or Minister for Indigenous Affairs to use the occasion to report on the progress achieved in the preceding year in closing the gap and addressing Indigenous disadvantage in the ACT.
